It's Time!

I really still can't believe that this day has really arrived!  In 1 hour and 15 minutes we will step off to begin the First Monticello-to-Peoria St. Jude Run!

The money has been raised now all that is left is to enjoy this adventure for all that it is!  I will attempt to update my blog en route-not sure how that will work but I will give it a try.  If not, I will provide a full recap once I get home!

I know the fatigue and pain is going to be present and possibly quickly, but it is NOTHING compared to what the St. Jude kids and their families must endure.

I am humbled and honored to take these many steps in their precious names.

It's Not too late!

It's not too late to donate to our St. Jude Monticello to Peoria Run!  All money has to be collected by July 7th (one week from Sunday) so there is still time.  PLEASE message/text/comment here to learn how you can be an important part of our run!!  Remember that 100% of your donation to ANY of our team's runners goes directly to help the children and families of St. Jude.  No child is EVER turned away based on inability to pay and parents will NEVER receive a bill for treatment!!

August 2nd is quickly approaching!

I really can't believe that the August 2nd St. Jude Run is only 5 weeks from tomorrow!  YIKES!  I am excited and admittedly nervous!  While this is the first ever Monticello to Peoria Run for St. Jude, there are other longer standing runs in our area.  Some of our team runners have participated before, but I never have.  I am not really sure what to expect or how much running I will be able to do.  I have decided to not set a personal goal for myself, but just do the best and most that I can do over the approx. 24 hours adventure.

5 Weeks!!  Just seeing that in print makes it seem so close!  I have been increasing my running frequency and my strength workouts in hopes of making this a tad bit less physically daunting.  Keeping my focus on the KIDS!!!
